Bl. Carlo Presentation at The National Eucharistic Congress, which will be held at St Mary’s College, Oscott, Birmingham, on Saturday, 14 September. The Feast day of The Holy Cross. This important event is a wonderful opportunity for the faithful from across diocese and the wider Catholic community in England and Wales to come together in devotion to the Most Holy Eucharist.

An Invitation to Deepen Our Eucharistic Faith

Adoremus 2024 promises a day filled with spiritual renewal and deepened devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Canon Chris Thomas, the general secretary of the Bishops’ Conference, highlighted the essence of this gathering: “We’re going to be looking for people from all over the country to come together to adore the Lord in the Eucharist, to deepen their Eucharistic theology and celebrate our Eucharistic faith together.”

Event Highlights

The event-packed day will be filled with activities, including:

A keynote address

Holy Mass

A Eucharistic Procession and Benediction

A variety of campus activities such as a presentation on Blessed Carlo Acutis,

A Rosary walk,

Adoration in the Chapel,

Scripture encounters,

pilgrimage walks,

and a Lectio Divina workshop.

Timetable

10:00 am – Activities for those who arrive early

11:00 am – Welcome and Keynote Address by Bishop Alan McGuckian of Down and Connor

12 noon – Angelus and Mass. Principal Celebrant Cardinal Vincent Nichols

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available throughout the afternoon in the College Chapel.

1:15 pm – Lunch

2:00 pm – Keynote Address by Sister Margaret Atkins OSA

3:00 pm – Activities / Afternoon Break

4:30 pm – Eucharistic Procession and Benediction

6:00 pm – Departures

19:00 | Nightfever

21:30 | Benediction and Compline

17:00 | International Mass with Corpus Christi Benediction and Procession.

Relics of Blessed Carlo will be displayed for devotion on Saturday, 3rd June
